Eligibility: Virginia high school seniors or graduates of Hispanic heritage enrolled in a Virginia higher education institution.

3. Richard P. Leedom Memorial Scholarship
Award: $2,500 per year
Eligibility: Students who have been served by UMFS for at least six months and are enrolled in at least three courses per semester at an accredited institution.

4. Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant Program
Award: Up to $12,500
Eligibility: Virginia residents enrolled full-time in eligible private, nonprofit colleges or universities in Virginia.

Eastern Dioceses Scholarship
Sponsor: Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who are active members of the Diocese of New York and Washington D.C. or The Diocese of Charleston, Oakland, and the Mid-Atlantic of the Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese of North America (Eastern Dioceses).
Fourth Circuit Essay Contest
Sponsor: United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit
Amount: Up to $1,000
Closing Date: June 2, 2025
Description: Contest is open to current students in grades 6 through 12 from Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia. Applicant must submit an essay on the following prompt: “How do T.L.O. and Riley impact the search of a student’s cell phone by school officials on public school grounds, and how would you protect a student’s rights while balancing the school’s responsibility to maintain a safe and effective learning environment?”
NEWH | Washington DC Metropolitan Chapter Scholarship

Closing Date: July 1, 2025
Description: Scholarship is open to currently enrolled college students attending an accredited college in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or Washington, DC. Applicant must have a career objective in of the areas of the Hospitality Industry (i.e. Hotel/Restaurant Management, Culinary/Foodservice, Architecture, Interior Design, etc.)
