Rest in Peace, Caleb Wilson
Before I share opportunities for students in Louisiana, I must take a moment to reflect on a heartbreaking loss. Caleb Wilson, a Southern University junior mechanical engineering major from Kenner, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on February 26 due to a hazing incident with Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated.
Hazing has no place in our academic institutions. Caleb was a bright young man with a promising future, and his loss is deeply felt by his family, friends, the Southern University community, and now the nation. Let us honor his memory by advocating for safer environments for students and ensuring that no one else has to endure such tragedy.
Rest in peace, Caleb.
