Recently, my mother-in-love was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. 💜 It was one of those phone calls that stops time. Our family braced ourselves for what was to come. But by God’s grace, the tumor was successfully removed, and she is now on the road to recovery. 🙏🏽
Sitting with her in hospital rooms and waiting areas gave me time to think about you, my community—students and parents navigating not only college but real-life challenges like cancer diagnoses in your own families.
I know that many of you have either survived cancer, supported a loved one through it, or lost someone to it. And here’s something you may not know:
👉🏾 There are scholarships specifically for cancer patients, survivors, siblings, and children of those impacted by cancer.

Amount: $5,000.00
Closing Date: June 1, 2025
Description: Scholarship is open to accepted and current college students who were diagnosed with cancer in childhood and whose disease and related treatments placed a significant financial burden on them and their families.
🎗 National Collegiate Cancer Foundation (NCCF) Scholarship
Who: Young adult cancer survivors and current patients, ages 18–35
